Julien Prévieux – Des reliquats d’attention

Installation Des reliquats d’attention avec une tour de Hanoï en céramique par Julien Prévieux

Production for artist Julien Prévieux - Des reliquats d’attention
2026, set of four Towers of Hanoi in glazed stoneware, 60 × 30 × 22 cm each

This set of four Towers of Hanoi forms part of an installation created by Julien Prévieux for his solo exhibition Des raisonnements déraisonnables (Le Grenier à Sel, Avignon, April–June 2026). The installation brings together a collection of errors gathered through experiments involving different chatbots, including ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, Mistral and Qwen.
Here, Julien Prévieux gives material form to something that occupies a central place in contemporary artificial intelligence models: attention. At the heart of language models, attention does not refer to the ability to concentrate, but to a statistical weighting operation that can go awry. Chessboards, Towers of Hanoi, large diagrams and distorted texts materialise these multiple failures, made up of impossible sequences and false solutions.
Julien Prévieux transforms computational malfunctions into visual and sculptural objects. Together, they form a record of failed operations: the remnants of a process devoid of any overall understanding, shaped by dead ends and unstable forms of logic. These objects are presented as an endless collection to which it is up to us to pay genuine attention.

Sébastien Coudert-Maugendre – Érosion

Guéridon Érosion en céramique de Sébastien Coudert-Maugendre

Production for designer Sébastien Coudert-Maugendre - Érosion
2023, side table in glazed stoneware and brass, 40 x 40 x 50 cm

The Érosion side table by designer Sébastien Coudert-Maugendre pays homage to the Architectones series that the artist Kasimir Malevitch created in the 1920s. Like them, the side table is made up of an agglomeration of parallelepipeds, which the designer remodeled in order to evoke the natural phenomenon of erosion. The speckled appearance of the molten basalt coating contrasts with the taut lines of the polished brass top.

Production for designer Sammy Bernoussi - Naturalis Sculptura
2022, glazed stoneware vase, 30 x 25 x 25 cm

The Naturalis Sculptura vase by designer Sammy Bernoussi draws inspiration from seventeenth-century tulip vases. As with these openwork vessels, its openings can be used to arrange floral compositions or to guide the growth of houseplants into an architectural form.

Guillaume Constantin – Endormie

Sculpture Endormie en impression 3D de céramique de Guillaume Constantin

Production for artist Guillaume Constantin - Endormie I
2021, glazed stoneware, 35 x 30 x 20 cm

The sculpture Endormie I by artist Guillaume Constantin recreates a fragment of a sculpture exhibited at the Louvre Museum from a 3D scan. Attentive to the unpredictable effects produced when a machine reinterprets the forms it copies, the artist chose to emphasise the striations that reveal the ceramic 3D-printing process.
